Consumer withdrawal and cancellation

1. Who and what is covered

The statutory distance-contract withdrawal rules apply when you act as a consumer for purposes outside your trade or profession and the relevant consumer law applies. For the promotion service, the 14-day period runs from conclusion of the service contract through explicit acceptance of the exact offer, not from a free initial request or from visiting checkout. The accepted offer and its date must remain available in the order record. Business customers do not automatically have this statutory consumer right, but contractual remedies and mandatory law still apply.

2. The 14-day right

You may withdraw from a covered service contract within 14 calendar days without giving a reason. To meet the deadline, send a clear withdrawal statement before the period expires. Use the model below or any equivalent unambiguous message to contact@utopialibrary.com, the private Contact form, or the operator’s published postal address. Identify the order so it can be found. No special wording, paid telephone call or mandatory use of our model is required. Keep proof of sending. Failure to provide mandatory withdrawal information can extend the period by up to 12 months; if the information is provided during that extension, the applicable 14-day period starts when it is received.

3. Starting a service during the withdrawal period

If you want a promotion to start before the withdrawal period ends, a separate express request to begin early is required. It must not be preselected or inferred from accepting general terms, paying, or visiting the site. Without that request, an early-start offer must be revised or start later. Where law allows a proportionate charge for a validly requested early service, this pilot instead applies the more favourable policy of a full refund for an eligible withdrawal, without a proportionate deduction. Payment or the first display alone does not remove the entire withdrawal right.

For a fully performed service, loss of the withdrawal right is possible only where the law permits and the necessary prior express request/consent and acknowledgement of that consequence were validly obtained. It is not an automatic consequence of booking a short promotion. We do not apply a blanket digital-content exception to these display services. Direct paid e-books, audio and video are not currently sold here; any future service would require its own specific information and lawful consent process.

4. Refund handling

For a valid statutory withdrawal, amounts due back must be reimbursed without undue delay and normally within 14 days of being informed, using the original payment method unless you expressly agree otherwise without additional cost. In the current pilot, an eligible withdrawal is refunded in full; no proportionate service charge is deducted. The ledger currently records full refunds only. The administrator reviews the evidence and performs any provider refund separately; the site records it only afterwards. “Refund requested” or “refund pending” is not proof that funds were returned. We do not charge a penalty merely for exercising a statutory right or use this manual workflow to extend legal deadlines.

5. Other cancellations and support

A free unpaid request can be cancelled in My orders. If a promotion cannot be delivered as agreed, is materially defective or is cancelled by the operator, contact us for an appropriate remedy under the contract and applicable law; this is separate from the 14-day right. Voluntary Support buys no advertising or other benefit and is not presented as a charitable donation. Ask for a return of support funds through Contact; the label “Support” does not exclude any mandatory rights that apply to the transaction. No blanket no-refund rule applies. Your order record is not a tax invoice.
