Respectful participation
Criticism, disagreement and difficult subjects are welcome when expressed without harassment or threats. Do not target people with hateful or degrading attacks based on identity, disability, religion, nationality, gender or other protected characteristics. Do not stalk, expose private information, impersonate people, organize harassment or exploit vulnerable users. Discuss the work rather than attacking its author or readers. Mark meaningful plot revelations as spoilers.
Rights, authenticity and AI
No plagiarism, unauthorized copies, misleading authorship, stolen covers or deceptive AI declarations. Quote only what you may lawfully share and identify sources where appropriate. AI-assisted and AI-generated work can be considered under the same safety and rights rules, with honest separate declarations for text, cover and translation. Do not claim that moderation certifies ownership or factual accuracy. No fabricated reviews, vote manipulation, spam, fraudulent offers or attempts to bypass account limits.
Children, adult material and dangerous content
Sexual exploitation or sexualized depictions of minors, grooming and any material facilitating abuse of children are prohibited, including fictional or AI-generated depictions. Do not upload or redistribute suspected abuse material to make a report: provide the page reference and a factual description privately. The current public library does not accept pornography or graphic sexual content intended for arousal, including in covers and excerpts. Non-graphic literary, educational or critical discussion of sexuality may be reviewed in context; it is not an invitation to publish explicit sexual scenes. The Children category must be suitable for its intended readers.
Do not publish credible threats, encouragement of serious violence or self-harm, terrorist recruitment, instructions intended to facilitate serious crime, malware or scams. Historical, fictional or critical treatment of difficult topics is assessed in context and must not function as encouragement or targeted abuse. This site is not an emergency service; where someone is in immediate danger, contact the appropriate emergency authority.
Notices and rights complaints
Use Report on the relevant book or comment, the private contact form or contact@utopialibrary.com. Identify the exact page or contribution, explain the concern and provide relevant facts. For a rights complaint, identify the protected work, the allegedly infringing material and your relationship to the rights holder, with a reliable reply address. Send only necessary evidence and do not include passwords, financial credentials or excessive sensitive information. A precise good-faith notice helps review; repeated malicious reports may themselves be restricted.
Decisions and appeals
The administrator reviews reports, may ask for clarification, hide content, decline publication or restore it after review, and records a reason. Serious safety concerns may require immediate restriction. Authors can inspect book review reasons in the studio and request a human reconsideration through an appeal in Contact, including relevant new evidence. Private ticket status and responses are available to the requester. No automatic punishment is imposed merely because a report was filed. Legal reporting or preservation duties may limit what can be disclosed or deleted.
